Several devastating floods hit relatively small areas of Europe and the Mediterranean in just a few (usually dry!) months in 2023. Climate change is affecting our weather patterns, and this kind of events are expected to occur regularly in the future. Society will have to deal with the consequences. But do we understand the causes for such damage? Can we learn from them and do something to prevent new devastations? What is the role of nature-based solutions in flood management?

At the webinar, a recognised hydrologist Dr. Nejc Bezak will present causes and impacts for extreme floods on the example of the floods in Slovenia and we will discuss the role of nature-based solutions to mitigate such devastating events in the future.

Join the webinar and learn more about the role of NBS in flood risk management!
