Dear water friends,

 

We are pleased to invite you to two online events on "Accelerating Action Towards Target SDG 6.6: Protecting and Restoring Freshwater Ecosystems", organized by GWP, UNEP and Cap-Net UNDP. The events will build on the results and learnings from a pilot project recently concluded in Argentina, Kenya, and Kazakhstan, and will explore how to effectively advance on freshwater ecosystem restoration and protection. Two sessions will be offered at different times, with different language options and speakers.

 

The first session will build on the experience of Kazakhstan and Kenya and will take place on Tuesday, 29 November, from 9:00 – 10:15h (GMT+1), in English and Russian.

  • This session will include interviews with country representatives from Kazakhstan and Kenya, as well as a panel discussion with an expert from The Nature Conservancy (TNC), and country representatives from Uganda, Georgia (tbc) and Armenia (tbc). The second session will build and the experience of Argentina and will take place on Tuesday, 6 December, from 14:00 – 15:15h (GMT+1), in English and Spanish.
